Dr. Lambert is an attending pediatrician and current Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics st Cayuga Medical Center. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology. Dr. Lambert is a long time Ithaca resident who graduated from Ithaca High School and Syracuse University. He attended medical school at SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine. He did his residency at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati and stayed an additional year as Chief Resident. He also completed a fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at New England Medical Center/Boston Floating Hospital. He has been in practice at Buttermilk Falls Pediatrics since 1989 doing both general pediatrics and consultations in pediatric gastroenterology. He is married to Robin Rogers who just retired after a long career as a public school art teacher and they have two sons in college. His interests include skiing, tennis and music.
Dr. Sendek retired at the end of December 2017 after many years of serving the families of our community.
Dr Amit Shrivastava joined Buttermilk Falls Pediatrics in 1994. After graduating with honors from Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal,India, he did an year of rotating internship before being accepted into University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics pediatric residency program in Iowa City, Iowa. He has done research in fields of nephrology and ophthalmology. As an Adjunct Professor at Rochester Institute of Technology at Rochester,New York, he has taught students of RIT physician assistant program. He believes in combining natural and holistic methods in allopathic medicine.
Dr. Casey is a native of Upstate New York who attended Cornell University as an undergraduate before going to the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO. She completed her pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. After residency she started a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at New York Hospital/Cornell Weill Medical College before decided that her heart was in general pediatrics and came to Ithaca to join Buttermilk Falls Pediatrics. An a doctor of osteopathy Dr. Casey follows in the footsteps her great-grandmother, great-grandfather and two great-uncles who practiced in Binghamton and Endicott. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Family Reading Partnership and the Board of Trustees of the Hangar Theatre.
Carolyn is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Prior to moving to Trumansburg 14 years ago, she and her family took advantage of exploring different parts of our country while pursuing education and training. Carolyn received her Bachelor Degree of Science in Nursing from Syracuse University, Master in Public Health from Tulane University, and Master of Science in Nursing from University of San Diego. Her interests within pediatrics include prevention, development and lactation counseling. Outside the office, Carolyn loves spending time with her two daughters and husband, being outside hiking or working around the house, cooking, or helping with costuming and Board member duties of Running To Places Youth Theatre Company. In an effort to continue learning for the purpose of optimizing the health of our community’s children, Carolyn has completed her Fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona. Andrea Sharkness was born and raised in Ithaca. She studied nutrition at Cornell University, receiving a BS degree and graduating with distinction in 2005; she then completed her BS degree in Nursing in 2006 at the University of Rochester. Andrea worked as a registered nurse at Highland Hospital in Rochester while completing her Masters of Science in Nursing degree in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program, also at the University of Rochester. She graduated from the program in 2009. Andrea and her husband returned to Ithaca when she joined Buttermilk Falls Pediatrics in 2010, they have one son.
