About Us
In search of pediatric care in Ithaca, NY? Buttermilk Falls Pediatrics has been a trusted part of the Ithaca community for generations. The practice traces its roots back to the post–World War II era, when Drs. Davis and Kingsley first opened their office on E. State Street. By the mid-1950s, Dr. Davis relocated to S. Albany Street, where Dr. Roger Perry joined him in 1960, followed by Dr. L. Anthony Speno in 1963—laying the foundation for the practice’s enduring legacy.
Today, the tradition of excellence continues with pediatrician Dr. Amit Shrivastava (joining in 2022), alongside Kimberly Welch, MSN, PNP, recognized for her expertise in newborn and lactation care. Most recently, in December 2024, Wali M. Ahmadzai, PA, a Le Moyne College honors graduate with an M.D. from Afghanistan, brought both his clinical skill and multilingual abilities—English, Pashto, Dari, Farsi, and Urdu—to the team.

Dr. Shrivastava has been a trusted pediatrician at Buttermilk Falls Pediatrics since 1994, beloved by families for his approachable demeanor, signature fun neckties, and holistic approach to care. He thoughtfully blends Western medicine with an emphasis on whole foods and natural sleep cycles, working closely with parents to support each child’s optimal health and well-being.
Dr. Shrivastava graduated Magna Cum Laude from Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal, India, completed his pediatric residency at the University of Iowa Hospital, and conducted research in nephrology.
