Pediatrician Ithaca, NY
About Us
Searching for a pediatrician in Ithaca, NY? Look no further than Buttermilk Falls Pediatrics! We have a rich history that began shortly after World War II when Drs. Davis and Kingsley opened an office on E. State Street in Ithaca. In the mid-1950s, Dr. Davis moved to S. Albany Street, where he was joined by Dr. Roger Perry in 1960, and later by Dr. L. Anthony Speno in 1963, forming the foundation of what would become Buttermilk Falls Pediatrics.
Over the decades, many dedicated physicians contributed to the practice, including Dr. John Lambert, who shared his expertise in pediatric gastroenterology until his retirement in May 2020.
Pediatrician, Dr. Amit Shrivastava, continues to provide the trusted care families have come to rely on. He joined in 2022, as did Kimberly Welch, MSN, PNP, who brought valuable newborn and lactation care experience. In December 2024, Wali M. Ahmadzai, a physician assistant with an M.D. from Afghanistan and recent honors graduate of the LeMoyne College PA Program, joined the team, offering care in English, Pashto, Dari, Farsi, and Urdu. We look forward to serving you and your family!

Well Child Visits
Regular
well child visits are one of the most important ways to keep your child healthy, providing an opportunity to monitor their growth and address any questions or concerns about their health. These visits should follow the recommended schedule, and we encourage you to call our office in advance to book an appointment with your child's pediatrician at a time that works best for you, though we may also be able to schedule you within a week.
When your child isn't feeling well, it’s important to have prompt medical attention that helps them feel better and gets them on the road to healing. We understand parents’ worry and offer
same-day sick visits to quickly start the treatment your child needs. If you have questions about your child’s health or you need to bring your child in for a sick visit,
contact our office so we can discuss your child’s symptoms and schedule a visit based on their health needs.

Telehealth
Telehealth, or a “virtual visit,” allows you to consult with one of our pediatric providers through secure video conferencing. This convenient option enables your child to be evaluated from the comfort of home by their regular pediatrician, who knows their medical history and has full access to their chart. However, virtual visits are not appropriate for all conditions, as some situations are best addressed in person.
